Metronidazole, commonly known by the brand name Flagyl, is an antibiotic and antiprotozoal medication used to treat a variety of bacterial and parasitic infections. Each package contains 30 tablets of metronidazole.

Usage Instructions:

Dosage and duration of treatment with Metronidazole depend on the type and severity of the infection, as well as individual patient response. It is important to follow the dosage instructions provided by your healthcare provider.
For most infections, the typical dosage for adults is 500mg orally every 8 hours for 7 to 10 days.
Metronidazole should be taken with a full glass of water, with or without food, to minimize the risk of stomach upset.
Complete the full course of treatment even if symptoms improve before the medication is finished, unless otherwise directed by your healthcare provider.

Precautions:

Inform your healthcare provider about any pre-existing medical conditions or ongoing medications before starting Metronidazole.
Avoid consuming alcohol or products containing alcohol while taking Metronidazole and for at least 3 days after treatment, as it may cause a severe reaction including nausea, vomiting, flushing, or headache.
Use caution if you have a history of liver disease, as Metronidazole may exacerbate liver function abnormalities.

Side Effects: While Metronidazole is generally well-tolerated, some individuals may experience the following side effects:

Nausea
Headache
Metallic taste in the mouth
Loss of appetite
Diarrhea or constipation
Vaginal discharge or itching (in women)
